YMCA of Central Ohio Raises Over 2 Million Dollars in Total Contributions

Outgoing interim President and CEO Kim Jordan celebrates our annual campaign success.

It's Official!

Our 2019 For A Better Us campaign and other development initiatives have raised more than $2 Million Dollars to help our neighbors discover their full potential with the Y. These dollars help us transform lives and bring Central Ohio closer together.

Pam Beisecker, Chairman of the Metropolitian Board, breaks down the numbers

Beyond gifts from corporate donors, staff at each of our 13 branches worked diligently to meet their fundraising goals. Below are some highlights.

  • The Pickaway County Family YMCA just this week reached their ambitious goal of $61,000, for the second consecutive year.
  • Our Hilltop YMCA and its staff inspired the highest total number of donors for any branch this year with their extensive member outreach appeal.
  • One particular branch has stood out as an example of how passionate volunteers can lead our organization to new heights. To date, the 23-member campaign team at our Grove City YMCA has raised $46,000 to build a better Us in Grove City – up more than 70% from the $27,000 raised by this time last year.
  • We are thankful to have advance volunteer teams for our upcoming Reynoldsburg Community Center YMCA and Whitehall Community Park YMCA branches, who have been crucial to building excitement for these new branches of our cause, and continue to help us raise start-up capital to ensure we can offer life-changing firsts from day one.

Thanks to our partners American Electric Power, Nationwide Insurance, Heartland Bank, OhioHealth and so many more across Central Ohio.

Together, we are building a better Us!
